The questions businesses ask us most about getting Microsoft 365 right.
Do we still need backup if our data is already in Microsoft 365?
Yes — and this surprises a lot of people. Microsoft operates on a shared responsibility model: they keep the platform running, but protecting your actual data is your responsibility. Native retention is limited and isn't a true backup — accidental deletion, ransomware, or a departing employee can still cost you data permanently. We deploy proper third-party backup for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams so your data is genuinely recoverable.
Should we be on Business Premium or Enterprise E3/E5?
For most small and mid-sized businesses, Business Premium is the sweet spot — it bundles the full Office apps with advanced security, Intune device management, and Entra ID P1 at an excellent price. Enterprise E3 and E5 make sense once you pass roughly 300 users or need advanced compliance and analytics, with E5 adding top-tier Defender and Purview. We'll model the real cost against your actual needs rather than just selling you the biggest plan.
Can you migrate us from Google Workspace or on-premises Exchange?
Absolutely — migrations are one of our specialties. We move email, calendars, contacts, files, and shared data from Google Workspace, on-premises Exchange, or another Microsoft 365 tenant, with careful cutover planning so your team experiences little to no downtime. We handle the technical complexity behind the scenes; you keep working.
Isn't Microsoft 365 already secure out of the box?
Microsoft gives you powerful security tools, but very little of it is switched on or properly configured by default — a brand-new tenant is far more open than most people assume. Real protection comes from enabling multi-factor authentication, Conditional Access, Defender policies, and device compliance, then tuning them for your business. That configuration work is exactly where we add the most value, and we measure the result with your Microsoft Secure Score.
Can you take over a tenant someone else set up?
Yes, and it's very common. We start with a full health and security review of your existing environment, document what we find, and give you a clear remediation plan. From there we clean up misconfigurations, harden security, and bring the tenant up to best practice before taking over ongoing management. You don't need to rebuild — we fix what's there.
How long does setup or migration take?
A fresh tenant build is typically ready within days. A migration depends on your size and data volume but most small to mid-sized businesses are fully moved within one to two weeks — planned around your schedule so the cutover happens with minimal disruption. We'll give you a firm timeline after a short scoping call.
Do you provide user training, or just the technical setup?
Both. Technology only pays off when people actually use it well, so we offer end-user training on Teams, SharePoint, and the Office apps, plus admin training for your internal staff if you have them. The goal is simple: turn the licences you're paying for into real productivity, not shelfware.
